(Link to this picture)An uphill shot of Welch Ave., in Campustown, the night of April 11th. During our VEISHEA celebration, most of Campustown is blocked off for our use.
(Link to this picture)Another general shot of the Campustown area during VEISHEA. This is south of Lincoln Way, looking north.
(Link to this picture)The Dog Station, a Campustown landmark, in front of the Battle of the Bands stage. Originally, the intent here was to catch the girl in pink on her cell phone right next to the stage, shouting at the person on the other end because she couldn't hear them. Unfortunately, she hung up just before I shot this.
(Link to this picture)You just
know that this is going to be the main attraction for a good number of people.
(Link to this picture)Central Campus right before the parade started. Gives you an idea of the size of the celebration.
(Link to this picture)The beginning poster. Seems like I should throw it in the mix here.
(Link to this picture)A pretty self-explanatory balloon. Second in line, at the beginning of the parade.
(Link to this picture)The Sigma Chi float, a 70's themed excuse to get girls in bikinis into the parade. There was a real, full hot tub on the back (the right of this picture).
(Link to this picture)But the best thing about this float was the functioning grill tacked onto the back. This is the life!
